How Social Tools Can Help Your Business?
Blogs… their lifespan, even on WordPress and Blogspot doesn’t seem to be very long. They were once a great tool to create your website and to interact with your visitors, but why are they dying off? We all once thought that blogs would take over the world, and why wouldn’t they? But it seems that less interactions are taking place on blogs these days. I mean, when was the last time you received a comment on your blog?
So where does all the interaction go? Facebook. There’s no doubt that it’s one of the fastest growing social tools out there, and it’s even scaring off Google, the search engine giant.
Facebook is ambitious. While Google treats you as a ‘Visitor’, Facebook treats you as a ‘Friend’. That makes a huge difference.
Here’s what I think could have happen in the future:
1. Website owners will create their websites on Facebook
2. They will direct www.mywebsite.com to www.facebook.com/mywebsite
3. They will start calculating the number of fans accessing their website, rather than unique visitors
4. They will spend their marketing budget on Facebook ads, rather than Google’s adsAnd, don’t be surprised if your web developer comes to you and tells you that they’re now a Facebook Page Developer, instead of a Web Developer!
